Negotiate to win. Get better outcomes in business and life.
Negotiation coaching and keynote speaking. Online anywhere in the world or in person in Sydney.
I help people and teams negotiate with confidence. Over 25 years I have built brands, led high-performing teams and closed deals with clients, suppliers and partners across Sydney, Dubai, Doha and New York. Today I coach professionals and leaders one to one before the conversations that matter, and I speak to audiences about negotiation, influence and trusted selling. Training a whole team? My firm The Clear Edge runs corporate programs.
I believe in:
Clarity
Clarity is a competitive advantage. The leaders and organisations who communicate well don't just look more professional. They make better decisions, build stronger relationships, and move faster.
Experience
Experience is only useful if you can transfer it. I've been lucky to work across industries, geographies, and business stages. The value of that isn't the stories. It's the patterns I can help others see.
Commercials
Commercial outcomes are the point. In business, things you do should change behaviour and produce results. Not just fill a day. And numbers never lie.
Negotiations
Good negotiation isn't manipulation. It's knowing what you want, understanding what the other side needs, and finding an outcome that’s a win-win for both sides.

Why work with me?
I have spent more than 25 years on the commercial side of business, negotiating with clients, suppliers, partners and boards across Sydney, Dubai, Doha and New York. I have sat on both sides of the table, as the agency fighting for a fee and as the executive holding the budget.
I have led businesses and commercial teams in professional services, education, telecommunications, technology, financial services and advertising. That breadth matters in a negotiation. It helps me read the other side quickly, spot what they really need and find the trade that gets a deal done.
I hold an ENS negotiation certification and I am a former General Manager of Lumify Group. Brands I have worked with include Audi, Volkswagen, Citibank, Apple, Singapore Airlines, Vodafone and TPG Telecom.
My approach is practical. No scripts and no tricks. We get clear on what you want, understand what the other side needs and prepare until the conversation feels familiar before it happens. The result is more confidence at the table and better outcomes away from it.
Eight things that have never
steered me wrong.
These aren't values plucked from a workshop. They're the things I've come back to again and again as a leader, a manager, and someone who's navigated a lot of different organisations, markets, and moments.
01
Aim higher than feels comfortable.
Ambition isn't arrogance. It's the decision to take your potential seriously. The organisations I've seen stagnate weren't short on talent, they were short on appetite.
02
Trust is the most efficient management tool ever invented.
When people know you mean what you say and say what you mean, you spend less time managing and more time leading. Build it early. Guard it carefully. It compounds.
03
Judge outputs, not inputs.
How someone gets the work done is rarely my business. What they produce, and whether it moves the business forward, is my business. Managing by results respects people's intelligence and time.
04
Say the thing you're tempted not to say.
Transparency isn't just a cultural value, it's a practical one. Teams that know the real picture make better decisions. The ones kept in the dark make expensive ones.
05
Clarity is an act of respect.
When you communicate in plain, direct language you're telling the other person their time matters. Vague language doesn't protect you, it just makes everyone work harder to figure out what you meant.
06
Share the upside. Every time.
People who feel the rewards of their work don't need to be motivated, they already are. The best teams I built were ones where winning felt collective.
07
Act like it's yours.
Not because it is, but because that mindset changes everything. How you spend, how you decide, how you show up. Ownership thinking is a habit, and it's contagious in the best possible way.
08
People are almost always more capable than you think.
Underestimating people is one of the most common and most costly mistakes leaders make. Give someone real responsibility, real trust, and real room to move. Then watch what happens.
Outside Work
I live on the northern beaches in Sydney with my wife and two sons. I play tennis when I can, spend as much time at the beach as possible, and have strong opinions about architecture, design and fashion, which my family mostly finds exhausting.
